AKA: Sycamore – A large tree resulting from a cross between Pl. orientalis and Pl. occidentailis. Fast growing. Pyramidal in youth, developing a spreading rounded crown with age. The bark is patchy (ranging from creamy-white to olive-green) and very attractive. Green leaves though the Summer turn to a bright gold in Fall. Excellent street tree.
