Stiff and  horizontally branched, Blackhaw Viburnum is a large shrub or small native tree.  In spring new leaves emerge copper-colored followed by white, flat-topped flowers and green glossy foliage.  Excellent pinkish-red fall color with black fruits contrast nicely.  A great plant for naturalized areas. Relatively slow growing.  This highly adaptable plant can withstand many soil conditions, including dry or wet, alkaline and clay soils.
