Upright growth. Fragrant white flowers in the spring, followed by clusters of large, edible, dark blue to black berries which persist on the plant through winter. Glossy dark green foliage turns to shades of red and purple in the fall. Hardy. Self pollinating. Excellent in mixed or shrub border, as a hedge. Attracts birds.
