Ligularia (Ragwort) x. 'Little Rocket' (Little Rocket Ragwort)

A dwarf form of the very popular L. ‘The Rocket’. Large, dark green, serrated, heart-shaped leaves over which long spikes of bright yellow, daisy-like flowers tower in mid-summer. Especially suited for smaller gardens. Very effective when planted in masses. Attracts butterflies. Be sure to keep adequately watered!

Clumps of grass-like, evergreen foliage with tall spikes of lavender-blue, hyacinth-like blooms in late summer followed by black berries in fall. Slow spreading. A very versatile ornamental grass that can be used as a groundcover, garden accent or in a container. Grows in sun or shade but blooms better in the sun. Needs good drainage.

Blue-purple flowers appear April to October on this tall variety with gray-green foliage and a compact growth form. Loosely arching habit. No significant pest problems. Penstemon (Beard-Tongue) digitalis 'Husker Red' (Husker Red Beard-Tongue)

A clump-forming perennial featuring white, tubular flowers on upright, rigid stems from April through June. Lance-shaped, maroon leaves. 1996 PPA Plant of the Year. No serious insect or disease problems, but can suffer from root rot in wet, poorly-drained soils. Mass in a sunny border, or use in pots or containers for texture.

Low growing spreading groundcover with needle like evergreen foliage forms a dense mat. Clear blue, 3/4″ star-shaped flowers cover the plant in spring. Creeping needle-like, evergreen foliage. After flowering, cut back half way to keep plants looking full. Long lived. Perfect for edging, in rock gardens or planted along slopes.
