Strong, upright growing perennial. Ribbed, dark green, heart-shaped leaves with clear white margins which hold their color in the sun. Relatively sun tolerant, as well as slug resistant. Good groundcover. Lavender flowers in July. Good for edging and as a groundcover.

Hosta (Plantain Lily) x. 'Bressingham Blue (Bressingham Blue Plantain Lily)

One of the best blue-green hostas. Near white flowers with a pale lavender mid-petal stripe in mid-summer. Large, cupped, heart shaped, puckered leaves measure 15″ long and 10 to 12″ across. Give this plant plenty of room and for best color, plant it in partial shade to retain blue color. Excellent for use as a woodland naturalizer or groundcover.

A tetraploid sport of Hosta ‘Francee’ with a much wider pure white margin and dark green center. One of the most distinctive Hostas. Ovate leaves. The 3′ wide clumps are topped with medium-lavender flowers in early summer. 1997 American Hosta ‘Hosta of the Year.
