Dianthus (Maiden Pink) gratianopolitanus 'Firewitch' (Firewitch Cheddar Pink)

2006 Perennial Plant of the Year. Masses of spicy clove scented magenta pink flowers which face upward for maximum impact. Evergreen needle-like silvery blue foliage with a spreading tendency. This is an excellent plant for the front of the flower border or as an edging.

Lilac pink blooms cover this small, compact plant all summer.  Great for hotter areas and drier soils.  Fragrant and attracts butterflies.   Grassy, grayish green foliage.  Great for rock gardens, edging, or in containers.
