Bred through the National Arboretum’s breeding program. Pyramidal shape. Tolerant of a wide variety of soils and hardy to Zone 5. Excellent as an evergreen screen, hedge or a single specimen. Virtually maintenance free, as well as pest and disease-resistant. Deer grazing does not appear to be a problem.
Technito® has attractive dark green color that holds equally well through winter. This selection is quite dense, and a great improvement on other Arborvitae because it requires less shearing than others. Technito forms a compact pyramidal outline.
A nearly perfectly globe-shaped shrub with fine, bright gold spring foliage and fantastic deep red fall color. This sport of the popular Rheingold has deeper color and is less prone to splitting. A slow growing, low maintenance evergreen perfect for massing in a landscape foundation or as a rock garden specimen.
Pyramidal form. Fine texture. New growth is light green, changing to deep glossy green. Moist, well-drained acidic soils. Adaptable evergreen. Excellent for hedge or informal screening or specimen planting. Best suited for shade/part shade areas. Needs some wind protection.
