Perovskia (Russian Sage) atriplicifolia (Little Spire Russian Sage)

A compact Russian Sage cultivar. A wood-based perennial of the mint family. Finely dissected, aromatic, gray-green foliage on stiff upright stems. Violet-blue flowers bloom for a long time over the summer. Excellent in masses or as specimen in borders. Silvery foliage and blue flowers provide good texture, color and contrast.

Graceful, aromatic foliage with silvery-gray hairs. Prefers poor to average, well-drained soil. Herb. Cut foliage to the ground in the Spring. Makes a good late season plant. 1996 PPA Perennial Plant of the Year. Useful as a border plant, in blue-gray groupings, or with ornamental grasses.
