Very hardy. Unpalatable to deer. Dense, broad oval habit. Limit boxwood to a north or eastern exposure to reduce the risk of winter burn.
Mounded, reddish-purple leafed shrub. New growth is red in color. Beadlike, bright red berries stud branches in the fall through the winter. Excellent as a specimen, in groups, or as an accent. Color stays best in full sun. Requires little trimming. Dislikes wet feet.
Offers some of the deepest maroon-purple foliage available, which turns slightly reddish in the fall. Small yellow flowers followed by bright red berries. Rounded shape. Drought tolerant and pest resistant. Plant in full sun for best color. Use as foundation plant, or along a border.
